The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) has selected Cindi Lane, APR, as its nominee for this year’s FPRA Doris Fleischman Award.

The Doris Fleischman Award honors a volunteer who steadfastly and quietly contributes to the public relations profession and to the Florida Public Relations Association.

Lane is the community information manager for the city of Daytona Beach Shores, the vice president of accreditation and certification for the Volusia/Flagler FPRA chapter, and a past chapter president.

The chapter board members thank her for volunteering on every committee this past year, including the award-winning Media Day; coordinating Mid-Florida Image Awards efforts with the Ocala Chapter; her never-ending dedication to educating members on the accreditation process and encouraging them to pursue it; and always offering assistance without being asked.

“I have truly appreciated Cindi’s time and input,” said Cyndi Hines, Volusia/Flagler Chapter president. “Her knowledge and experience have been invaluable to me and to the chapter as a whole.”

Lane and all nominees will be recognized, and the winner presented, at the 2022 FPRA Annual Conference being held in Orlando in August.

Through its 15 professional chapters throughout the state, the Florida Public Relations Association is dedicated to developing public relations practitioners who, through ethical and standardized practices, enhance the public relations profession in Florida.
