Rosemary Smith (McCluney) Coleman
1939-2022

Rosemary Smith (McCluney) Coleman, 82 of Gastonia, NC, passed away peacefully on April 16th. Rosemary was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin.

She was also a dear friend to so many people in all of the communities where she lived and worked. Rosemary was born in McAdenville, NC on August 10th, 1939 and was a professional photographer, owning her own business for decades. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling, yard sales, and thrift stores, always with friends alongside.

Rosemary was predeceased by her loving husband, Jimmie Lewis Coleman, her mother Margaret Branch Smith, father Lee Roy Smith, and brother Lee Roy Smith, Jr. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Branch Smith (Kelli), daughter, Laurie McCluney Smith, son T. Cameron McCluney (Erika), grandchildren, Jackie Lamar Carter, Jr., Aaron Matthew Carter, William Tyler Jenkins, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Firestone Wesleyan Church, 1700 Union Rd. in Gastonia on Saturday, April 30th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Church in remembrance of Rosemary.
