Volusia County sea turtle rehabilitation discussion

When: 5:30 p.m.

Where: Ocean Art Gallery, 197 E. Granada Blvd.

Details: Allison Bernstein from Volusia County Sea Turtle Rehabilitation will discuss the turtle intake and rehabilitation process at the Marine Science Center with a 2021 turtle update and year-to-date recap. Call 317-9400.

Solitary Man, a tribute to neil diamond

Details: See veteran vocalist and tribute artist David Jericko bring Neil Diamond to life. Tickets cost $30 in advance; $35 at the door. Call 676-3375.

Rummage/craft sale

Where: Ormond Beach Elks Lodge 2193, 285 Wilmette Ave.

Details: The Ormond Beach Elks Lodge 2193 will hold a rummage/craft sale. Vendor tables are $15 for an 8-foot table; $25 for two tables. Call Kathy Papson at 386-276-3545 to reserve a table.

3rd-annual Ormond Beach Live original music and art festival

When: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Where: Rockefeller Gardens, 26 Riverside Dr.

Details: Come see over 100 acts performing on 13 stages at the Casements and Rockefeller Gardens. Tickets cost $10 in advance; $15 at the gate. Children 12 and under are free.  There is an after party at Fletcher's Irish Pub, located 393 W. Granada Blvd. Visit ssa.cc/ormond.html

Safe boating class

When: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Where: Halifax River Yacht Club, 331 S. Beach St.

Details: A safe boating class is being offered over two Saturdays, (Sept. 25 and Oct. 2). This two-day course is the one you need to obtain a state Boating Safety Education ID and apply for a possible insurance discount. It's an excellent introduction to boating, boat handling, navigation rules, aides to navigation, Florida regulations, boating safety and more. Presented by America’s Boating Club and the Daytona Beach Sail and Power Squadron. The course materials cost $39.40, and couples can share with a 50% discount at $59.10. OBHS Speaker Series virtual lecture: The Jim Crow Era

When: 10 a.m.

Where: Webinar

Details: Martha Bireda, director of Blanchard House Museum of African History and Culture, will provide an overview of the Jim Crow Era and its continued influence. Low-cost pet shot clinic

When: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: A Pampered Pooch Groomer 295 S. Yonge St.

Details: Get your pet vaccinated at a lower cost. Rabies shots will cost $5 for 1-year vaccinations. Other shots offered include dog distemper/parvo combo, dog flu, cat distemper combo, feline leukemia and more. Heartworm prevention and flea control products will be available for purchase. All vaccinations are administered with a licensed veterinarian. Reel in the Fun kids' fishing tournament
