VMA 11th-annual Lou Fifer Education Scholarship golf tournament

When: 10:30 a.m.

Where: LPGA, 1000 Champions Drive

Details: The tournament begins at 10:30 a.m. for VIP ticket holders, and 11:30 a.m. for all other players. It will be a shotgun start, 18-hole scramble with four-person teams. New this year is a "Golf After Party" with dinner and music starting at 5:30 p.m. Funds from the tournament will go toward educational scholarships and supporting the future manufacturing workforce. 'Together we celebrate the Ormond Beach African American community'

Where: South Ormond Neighborhood Center, 176 Division Ave.

Details: Come celebrate Ormond's African American history, as we remember memories from Sudan, Liberia, Teen Town and Oak Ridge Cemetery. Refreshments will be served. 

Second-annual Ormond Beach beer festival

When: 12-8 p.m.

Where: Destination Daytona Pavilion, 1651 N. U.S. 1

Details: Join the Rotary Club of Ormond Beach for the second-annual Ormond Beach beer festival. There will be live music, including a performance by Pryor and Lee, along with over 100 different beers. Wine and local food vendors will be available for purchase. Free event. Cherry Laurel Garden Club annual spring luncheon

Details: Join the Halifax Humane Society to help raise $25,000 for the community's animals. The 18-hole golf tournament is sponsored by Subaru of Daytona.
