Krewe of the 13
The Krewe of the 13 hosted their second-annual Casino Night on March 20, at the Palm Coast Community Center. After a year of delays due to COVID-19, the event was a huge success, and revenues exceeded the Krewe’s $20,000 financial goal. Casino Night is one of two major annual fundraisers hosted by the Krewe.
Funds from the event are used to help families in the community who are experiencing temporary financial difficulties and may have exhausted other charitable avenues.
The event featured craps, roulette, blackjack and poker, plus door prizes and a silent auction. Guests each received $2,500 in fun money for gambling fun, and appetizers were served throughout the evening. Guests showed up in everything from elegant pirate garb to Roaring '20s – a couple of cowboys were even spotted!
The Krewe is especially grateful for the generous support and donations of silent auction items and gift cards from our many sponsors. They were a huge success and helped the krewe hit their target goal.
The Krewe of the 13 Inc. is a 501c3 registered public charity. As a group of fun-loving pirates, our mission is to help needy families of the local community.
