Holiday at The Casements

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive

Details: The city of Ormond Beach Department of Leisure Services presents the 15th-annual Holidays at The Casements event, featuring an open house, a dessert social and a holiday concert by The Moonlighters. Call 386-676-3216.

Friday, Dec. 17

"Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" celebration

When: 5-7 p.m.

Where: Tanger Outlets, 1100 Cornerstone Blvd.

Details: Join Tanger Outlets for a holiday-themed dance party. Activities will include a DJ, face painting, crafts, a hot chocolate station and seeing a stilt walker. Celebrations will take place between H&M and Polo.

DAR presents Wreaths Across America

When: 10 a.m.

Where: Hillside Cemetery, 143 Seton Trail

Details: The Capt. James Ormond chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is returning to Hillside Cemetery for its annual Wreaths Across America remembrance event. Join to lay wreaths for American heroes. Parking is limited. Contact [email protected]

Veterans Assistance Coalition's Wreaths Across America

When: Noon

Where: Volusia Memorial Park, 550 Nova Road

Details: Honor fallen heroes by placing over 1,500 holiday wreaths on military graves. Open to the public. A ceremony at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery will follow. To sponsor a wreath for $10, call 386-290-8407.

Low-cost pet shot clinic

When: 9-11 a.m.

Where: Big Lots Plaza  122 N. Nova Road

Details: Get your pet vaccinated at a lower cost. Rabies shots will cost $5 for 1-year vaccinations. Other shots offered include dog distemper/parvo combo, dog flu, cat distemper combo, feline leukemia and more. Heartworm prevention and flea control products will be available for purchase. All vaccinations are administered with a licensed veterinarian. Christmas Cantata

When: 10:45 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Where: Lighthouse Christ Presbyterian Church, 1036 W. Granada Blvd.

Details: Lighthouse Christ Presbyterian Church will present two performances of "Joy to the World! A Christmas Cantata." Performing will be the Sanctuary Choir, with special soloists Solisti Christmas String Quartet with harpsichord, JuBellation Handbell Choir and Dr. Michael Rickman on organ and piano. Rev. 'Chriskwanzukkah' Holiday Festival

When: 1-4 p.m.

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive

Details: Attend this free holiday festival featuring over 20 performers celebrating music, poetry, songs and a winter solstice ceremony with a family-friendly variety show. This is the 10th year of the festival, and poet Annie Finch, famous for her performance as "Poetry Witch," will officiate the winter solstice ceremony. Five local organizations are cosponsors of the free festival: Creative Happiness Institute, Ormond MainStreet, Ormond Beach Arts District, Live Poets Society and Tomoka Poets. Seating is limited. Embry-Riddle Tennis Camp

When: 9 a.m. to noon, Dec. 20-23

Where: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, 1 Aerospace Blvd.

Details: Take part in this holiday tennis camp. Open for ages 5-18. Costs $140. Need-based scholarships available for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Where: 111 Pine Creek Court

Details: The Schoolcraft Family is presenting their 2021 Christmas Walkthrough Display, which is open daily to the public, wind and weather-permitting. 2nd-annual virtual Holiday Tour of Homes

When: Dec. 11-31

Where: Virtual

Details: The Ormond Beach Historical Society is presenting its Holiday Tour of Homes in a virtual format again this year. The 2021 tour features six Ormond Beach area homes, at dusk, and decorated for the holidays. Homes range from as old as 1897 to as new as 2018, with an eclectic mix of design times. Tickets cost $20.
