Free art demonstration

Low-cost pet shot clinic

When: 2:30-4 p.m.

Where: Astro Skate and Shake, 251 N. U.S. 1

Details: Get your pet vaccinated at a lower cost. Rabies shots will cost $5 for 1-year vaccinations. Other shots offered include dog distemper/parvo combo, dog flu, cat distemper combo, feline leukemia and more. Heartworm prevention and flea control products will be available for purchase. All vaccinations are administered with a licensed veterinarian. 30th-annual Home for the Holidays parade

When: 6:30 p.m.

Where: Between Ridgewood Avenue and Beach Street

Details: Attend one of the city's largest holiday events. This year's parade theme is "Holiday Broadcasts" and parade participants have been encouraged to portray their favorite scenes from movies, TV shows and more. There will be live bands, performances and a tree lighting at City Hall at 6 p.m. The parade is about 1.5 miles long and will begin at Division Avenue and Ridgewood Avenue, before turning right on Granada Boulevard and proceeding until Beach Street where the parade will turn right to conclude in front of City Hall.

"The Nutcracker"

When: 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec 11; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12

Where: Peabody Auditorium, 600 Auditorium Blvd.

Details: See the European School of Performing Arts production of Christmas classic, "The Nutcracker." Directed by Michelle Boutros and Jeremiah Garner. Tickets are available for purchase at Ticketmaster.com, or between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Peabody Box Office. Prices range from $25 to $45. Storm drain marking

When: 9-11 a.m.

Where: Michael Crotty Bicentennial Park, 1800 N. Ocean Shore Blvd.

Details: Visit neighborhoods in northeast Volusia County to learn about the impacts of stormwater, fertilizer and other contaminants on local waterways, as part of the county's Explore Volusia programs. The group will mark storm drains with "no dumping" curb markers. Meet at Bicentennial Park. Registration required. Call 386-736-5927

The Elf on the Shelf Magical Mornings

When: 10 a.m. to noon

Where: Tanger Outlets Daytona Beach, 1100 Cornerstone Blvd. 

Details: Tanger Outlets plays host to holiday magic with a partnership with The Elf on the Shelf. Kids are invited to take part in a morning of fun with entertainment, crafts and a reading of "The Elf on the Shelf." The event, to take place between H&M and Polo Ralph Lauren, will conclude with a scavenger hunt. Holiday at The Casements

Details: The city of Ormond Beach Department of Leisure Services presents the 15th-annual Holidays at The Casements event, featuring an open house, a dessert social and a holiday concert by The Moonlighters. Call 386-676-3216.

2nd-annual virtual Holiday Tour of Homes

When: Dec. 11-31

Where: Virtual

Details: The Ormond Beach Historical Society is presenting its Holiday Tour of Homes in a virtual format again this year. The 2021 tour features six Ormond Beach area homes, at dusk, and decorated for the holidays. Homes range from as old as 1897 to as new as 2018, with an eclectic mix of design times. Tickets cost $20.
