The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program offers free tax preparation services. Volunteers are IRS certified and trained to identify taxpayer's eligibility for federal tax credits to help families get the most accurate returns. Free tax preparation services are brought to you by Campaign for Working Families, an Initiative of the United Way of Volusia Flagler Counties and our community partners.

You can save the filing fee and schedule a free appointment for free tax filing through VITA. Appointments are still available and most sites are extending operation dates to coincide with the new federal filing date of May 17. All you need to do is call 211 to schedule an appointment. Here’s the link if you’d like more information (such as site locations) about VITA: https://www.unitedwayvfc.org/VITA-6-41.html.
