Tribute to Jean C. Whalen
May 28, 1926-October 13, 2020
Melbourne, FL – Jean C Whalen, a longtime resident of Palm Coast, FL was born to Pauline Murphy Contridoff and Henry Contridoff of Sackets Harbor, NY.
Jean graduated from Cazenovia College where she worked for the Dean after graduation. She worked for Hervey Allen, author of Anthony Adverse, and Senator Rulison of Syracuse, NY, and later became a paralegal.
She and her family, Bob, Jeff and Nancy moved to Orlando, FL in 1959 where she worked for a large law firm.
When she retired to Palm Coast, FL she enjoyed many great years of tennis at the Palm Coast Players Club, volunteering, and travels. She also enjoyed bridge and Ancestry.com.
Jean’s husband, Robert J. Whalen, her son Jeffrey Whalen and her daughter, Nancy J. Whalen predeceased her. Her granddaughter Taylor Jean Whalen Caschera, her husband Brandon Lee Cashera, their daughter Aubree Lynn Cashera, her son-in-law Kenneth Lynn Snyder and her cousin Bev Russell survive her.

There will be a memorial service at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 11:00 am. Burial will be at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, where Jean and Bob will be together again.
