Her work is two-dimensional on acid-free paper, using her digital photography skills as a reference, according to a press release. She's been painting for over 30 years and has received numerous awards with written recognitions. This has led to gallery and museum showings in Florida and New York.

"Jesters go wild," by Cherree Mallette

Upon viewing Mallette’s art, Ocean Art Gallery owner and director Frank Gromling realized immediately that he wanted to showcase her creative work in a major event.

"The intensity and creativity of Mallette’s talent is so powerful I knew I had to dedicate an entire wall of our gallery to introduce it to our clients and guests," said Gromling in the press release.

Mallette is also a musician and songwriter, and will entertain guests during an opening reception, to be held 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, during the city's Art Walk. She will also be available to discuss her art. Refreshments will be available. CDC guidelines will be in place. Her art will be on display through Dec. 31 at Ocean Art Gallery, located at 197 E. Granada Blvd. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12-5 p.m. on Sundays.
