Merry and Bright on Main Street

When: Sunset to Sunrise, Dec. 12-19

Where: Granada Boulevard, from Orchard Street to A1A

Details: See the shops and streets decorated all through the night. Businesses are competing to have the best decorations. Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride through the downtown. Call 676-3241.

Daytona Beach Holiday Bazaar

When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Ocean Center Ballroom, 101 N. Atlantic Ave.

Details: Shop with over 75 vendors. Visit local crafters showcasing their unique products and services. Santa Claus will be onstage from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for free photos. There will be door prizes, stage demos and more. Free admission. Contact [email protected]

Sip and See Sundays

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Where: Arts on Granada, 67 W Granada Blvd

Details: Join the resident artists at Arts on Granada for mimosas and art on the second Sunday of every month.

Fifth-annual Chuck Strasser Memorial Candy Cane 5K

When: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Where: Virtual

Details: This year's 5K is going virtual with a secret destination finish line. It's a "pick your path race with a real life finish line," according to a press release. This format will allow runners and walkers to participate however and wherever they choose. Over the next couple of weeks, there will be clues released on the race's social media about the secret finish line in Ormond Beach. Once you find it, there will be medals, refreshments, photo-ops and a costume contest. Register at 5k.tomoka.cc. This event raises funds to support local adoption efforts. 

Wreaths Across America

When: 10 a.m.

Where: Hillside Cemetery, 143 Seton Trail; Oakridge Cemetery, 162 S. Nova Road; and Gethsemane Cemetery, 100 block of South Orchard Street

Details: The Capt. James Ormond Chapter of the National Society for Daughters of the American Revolution invites the public to attend the ceremony at Hillside Cemetery, where wreaths will be placed on over 243 soldiers' graves. Ceremonies will also be held at Gethsemane Cemetery and Oakridge Cemetery. The latter is sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1048. Facial coverings will be required and social distancing must be observed. Contact [email protected]

Magic of Lights 

When: Open daily 6-10 p.m. through Jan. 2. 

Where: Daytona International Speedway, 1801 W. International Speedway Blvd.

Details: Transformed for the fourth year in a row, come out to the speedway for a holiday display of over 1 million lights. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the AdventHealth Foundation in Volusia and Flagler counties. Advanced tickets start at $25. The display will open at 7 p.m. Nov. 26-29. Tour the Casements

When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday-Friday; 10-11 a.m. Saturday

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive

Details: See John D. Rockefeller’s winter residence. The Casements Guild celebrates each year by decorating the mansion inside and outside. See the decorations and buy special Christmas presents in the gift sop. Tours are free and conducted daily on the hour. Visit thecasements.net
