A commercial development may take up 40 acres of land at southeast corner of Belle Terre Boulevard and Citation Boulevard.

Proposed city spending to buy three parcels from KB Homes Jacksonville so that the city can create a stormwater pond between London Drive and Leaver Drive. The pond would typically have 10-15-feet water depths, but would have the capacity to hold up to 25 vertical feet of water in the event of a 100-year flood. The land is currently wooded.

Proposed cost of a potable water main extension project on Seminole Woods Parkway, at $216,458 plus a 10% contingency. S.E. Cline Construction would handle the construction. The project is part of the city's utility 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan and is budgeted for Fiscal Year 2021.

Planned city spending to fix drainage issues on Belle Terre Parkway along the pedestrian path. The spending would be used to pay Taylor Engineering, Inc for value-engineering of a previous stormwater improvement design that had been sent out to bid in 2019 but was tabled when the bids came back higher than expected. The new design could save the city approximately $900,000 compared to the bids received on the previous version, according to city staff documents.

The land is vacant, but zoned for commercial use.

The proposal came to the City Council at its Dec. 1 meeting because the current owner would like the city to vacate an existing plat on the land so that it can be used more efficiently.

Council members voted 5-0 to do so.
