Two dogs and two cats have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.

The first dog is Doris, an 8-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a tan and white coat. She has been at the shelter since late June after she was found a stray, and for the last three months, she has been waiting for her forever home. Doris is a relaxed, low-maintenance dog looking for a calm and patient home. She is currently in a foster home with other dogs and she gets along very well. Her adoption fee is $35.

Last but not least is Taffy, a 4-month-old domestic shorthair with an orange coat. He is just a kitten with a loving heart and a sense of adventure. He's currently at the PetSmart in DeLand, located at 2661 S. Woodland Blvd. Call for adoption fee.
