Traditional turkey day dinner 

When: 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Where: Ormond Garage, 48 W. Granada Blvd.

Details: Ormond Garage will be serving turkey dinners for $18.95. Call 492-7981.

Friday, Nov. 29

62nd-annual Gaslight parade and antique car show

When: 6 p.m.

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive

Details: Beginning at the foot of the Granada Bridge, and traveling east on Granada Boulevard, then south on Atlantic Avenue, see classic cars stroll through town in this traditional event. Come out to Fortunato Park on Saturday for the antique car show, held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Show and parade open for vehicles 1994 or older. No customs or hot rods. Call 761-7987

Gaslight returns to Ormond Garage 

When: 7:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Garage, 48 W. Granada Blvd.

Details: Head to the Ormond Garage after the Gaslight Parade for a night of classic cars, house-made brews and food. Participants of the Gaslight Parade will receive a 43 pint of O.G. beer and entry into a drawing. Winner will be announced at 9 p.m. Email [email protected]

Saturday, Nov. 30

Fourth-annual Chuck Strasser Memorial Candy Cane 5K

When: 8 a.m.

Where: Destination Daytona, 1637 N. U.S. 1

Details: Take part in this local holiday tradition. Christmas-themed attire is encouraged and a costume contest will be held after the race. All finishers will receive a medal, swag bag and refreshments provided by Chick-fil-A and Krispy Kreme. Everyone who pre-registers will also receive a T-shirt. Shop Small Outdoor Market

When: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Frame of Mind, 23 W. Granada Blvd.

Details: Support the unique small businesses that make Ormond Beach special. Nearly 40 vendors will participate. Enjoy block parties, live music, tastings and swag. 

Sunday, Dec. 1

Breakfast with Santa

When: 9-11 a.m.

Where: St. Brendan's Catholic Church Hall, 1000 Ocean Shore Blvd.

Details: The Ormond-by-the-Sea Lions Club invites children of all ages to join the club — plus Santa Claus and Mr. Lion —for breakfast. The Knights of Columbus will be serving eggs, sausage and all-you-can-eat pancakes for $5. Breakfast purchase is not necessary to see Santa, who will have gifts for the children. Call 441-4421.

Christmas at Anderson-Price

When: Noon to 3 p.m.

Where: Anderson-Price Memorial Building, 42 N. Beach St.

Details: The Ormond Beach Historical Society announces Santa Claus is coming to town and will be at the Anderson-Price Building. Kids of all ages will enjoy meeting Santa, Christmas crafts, carols and decorating Christmas cookies. Free and open to the public. Space is limited. Call 677-7005 for reservations.

Coffee with Commissioner Kent

When: 5-6 p.m.

Where: 130 Magnolia Drive

Details: Enjoy a cup of coffee and conversation with Zone 2 City Commissioner Troy Kent at his home.

Wednesday, Dec. 4

Garden Club holiday wreath workshop

When: 9:30 a.m. to noon

Where: The Casements, 25 Riverside Drive

Details: The Ormond Beach Garden Club is hosting this workshop. Supplies include leaves, ribbon, pine cones and ornaments. Personalize your wreath by choosing leaf color from gold, silver, red, green or burgundy. Please specify wreath color when registering. The cost is $20 per person and must be prepaid in advance of Nov. 29 deadline. Call instructor Zetta Gillepsie at 673-2940 or 301-0366 to register.

Dance lessons

When: 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Where: Ormond Senior Center, 351 Andrews St.

Details: On Wednesdays, the Council on Aging offers dance lessons provided by "Dance With Me" instructors Tom and Jo Sanders. Costs $2. Participants are welcome to stay afterward for a dance gala and social, from 2 to 4 p.m. featuring live big band music by The Blue Notes. Call 672-4159.

Fall prevention classes

When: 8-9 a.m.

Where: Meeting Room F at France Tower in Halifax Health, 303 N. Clyde Morris Blvd.
