Friday, March 8

Advanced Placement Studio Art Exhibit

When: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: 3840 Ridgewood Ave.

Details: Catch the artwork of Volusia County’s Advanced Placement Art Students in the last week of the exhibit. The exhibit highlights work from Dorothy Johnson, creativity award winner for 2019. Exhibit is there every day until March 15. Open Monday-Friday. Free admission.

Saturday, March 9

Go Make A Difference 5K Run/Walk

When: 8-10 a.m.

Where: Clark Office Building, 5111 S. Ridgewood Ave.

Details: Run or walk a 5K along the scenic Halifax river in the last of the Daytona Running series for the 2018-2019 season. Proceeds support children and families of the Lourdes Academy. Trophies for the season after the 5K award ceremony. Registration is $30; $10 for children and Our of Lady of Lourdes staff members.

Woodhaven Neighborhood Grand Opening

When: noon to 3 p.m.

Where: Woodhaven ICI Holmes, 6401 S. Williamson Blvd.

Details: Visit Port Orange’s newest ICI Homes family-oriented community. This street festival themed grand opening will feature food, DJ, balloon artist, caricature artist, giveaway and more. No cost to attend.

Sunday, March 10

Spring Evening on the Estate

When: 2-5 p.m.

Where: Estate on the Halifax, 5123 S. Ridgewood Ave.

Details: Newly engaged and current venue clients are welcome to explore this wedding venue and wedding vendors. Vendors will be showcasing services for food, photography and videography, salon, music, and more. Free to attend.

Wednesday, March 13

Creekside Middle Fundraiser at Sonny’s BBQ Restaurant

When: All Day

Where: Sonny’s BBQ of Port Orange, 1515 Dunlawton Ave.

Details: Benefit Creekside Middle School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) Club by eating at Sonny’s BBQ in Port Orange. 15 to 25% of the bill will go to their FFA State Convention trip this summer with 2 Creekside students competing. Promoting Your Business Through Free Social Media Luncheon

When: noon to 1 p.m.

Opening Ceremony for Senior Games

When: 1 p.m.

Where: Port Orange Adult Center, 4790 S. Ridgewood Ave.
