Erma Mohl celebrates 104th birthday

Erma Mohl turned 104 years old on Tuesday, Oct. 30, and she celebrated her birthday with joy.

Mohl is the oldest resident at Seaside Manor in Ormond-by-the-Sea, though you wouldn't guess so with the amount of energy she embraces life. As a performer crooned songs by Bobby Darin, Mohl tapped her feet to the beat and smiled.

Mohl was born on Oct. 30, 1914 in Reading, Pennsylvania, where she lived for the majority of her life. She moved to Florida six years ago. Her daughter told the Ormond Beach Observer last year that Mohl has seven children, nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
