Dunkin’ Donuts celebrated the one-year re-opening of its location at 1310 SW. Palm Coast Parkway on Saturday, May 19, according to a news release.
The store re-opened in May 2017 after a fire destroyed it in 2016. The store was rebuilt with the help of the community.
The new location, open from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m., features a drive-through, free Wi-Fi and indoor seating.
Jamie Bourdeau, owner of Beach Front Grille in Flagler Beach, announced that locals have raised $3,000 for Flagler County Emergency Services and the Flagler Beach Police Department, according to a news release. The organizations will split the money equally.
The money was raised at the Irish Open Golf Outing — despite not one ball being hit. A thunderstorm prohibited players from teeing off. However, the group still raised the money from players’ fees, sponsorships and raffles. The sponsors were Beach Front Grille, MediQuick and the ICU nurses at Florida Hospital Flagler.
“These funds are going to be used for some updated raid gear for our police officers,” Flagler Beach Police Chief Matt Doughney said in a release. “What we have now is antiquated and hot, and with summer right around the corner, we are looking forward to utilizing some more modern weather gear.”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 10 marked the grand opening of Chiumento Dwyer Hertel Grant and Kistemaker’s new Ormond Beach office, located at 120 E. Granada Blvd., according to a news release.
The firm partners, staff and Chamber Board members were in attendance.
The launch of the new office marks the next chapter for the 45-year-old law firm, which serves Flagler County and Volusia County residents. Its areas of practice include real estate, personal injury, condo/HOA law and litigation, family law, estate planning, probate and trust administration, tax, elder law, immigration, litigation, criminal, bankruptcy and more.
Thanks to Beaver Toyota of St. Augustine, the Flagler County Education Foundation was able to award over $14,000 in teacher mini grants this spring, according to a news release.
Through a grant process opened to Flagler Schools teachers in March, Fund-A-Project with Beaver Toyoto was opened to all Flagler Schools teachers. Beaver Toyota donated $10,000 that was partially used with matching funds by a private donor for this round of grants. The remainder of their donation will go to the other FCEF programs.
Grants ranged from $200 to $1,500.
