According to a press release, the expansion “is designed to provide greater access to Medicare education, retirement and healthcare planning,” for seniors in Flagler County, Daytona Beach and surrounding communities. Gray also has a Daytona Beach office at 1616 Concierge Blvd., Suite 100.

Gray has nearly three decades of experience helping Medicare beneficiaries navigate healthcare decisions, the press release said. Unlike agents who represent a single insurance company, Gray works as an independent Medicare broker, helping clients compare Medicare Supplement plans, Medicare Advantage plans, prescription drug plans and other retirement healthcare options from multiple carriers.

Gray also plans to expand community outreach through educational workshops, Medicare information sessions and retirement healthcare seminars.

“As more Floridians reach retirement age, many are finding Medicare increasingly confusing,” Gray said. “… Our goal is to simplify the process and help seniors make informed decisions with confidence.”

FLAGLER CARES ACHIEVES COA ACCREDITATION

Flagler Cares has achieved national accreditation through COA Accreditation, a service of Social Current.

The nonprofit serves as a safety net and connects individuals and families in Flagler and Volusia counties with behavioral health services, basic needs and crisis support, resource navigation, youth development, and prevention services. Flagler Cares meets neighbors where they are while seeking alignment with health and human services providers.

Organizations pursue accreditation to demonstrate the implementation of best practice standards in the field of human services. COA Accreditation evaluated all aspects of Flagler Cares’ programs, services, management and administration.

The standards driving accreditation ensure that services are well-coordinated, culturally competent, evidence-based, outcomes-oriented and provided by a skilled and supported workforce.

To achieve accreditation, Flagler Cares first provided written evidence of compliance with the COA Accreditation standards. A group of trained volunteer peer reviewers confirmed adherence to these standards during a series of on-site interviews with trustees, staff and clients. Based on their findings, COA Accreditation’s volunteer-based Accreditation Commission voted that Flagler Cares had successfully met the criteria.
