Planning ahead: Here's a city event to consider for the holidays

The 39th-annual Christmas Gala at the Casements is a three-day event beginning on Friday, Dec. 1.

This year's theme is "The Casements Country Christmas" and opening night will feature the lighting of the new 36 ft. tree in Rockefeller Gardens. Attendees will also be able to enjoy train rides, face painting, music and witness Santa's arrival. The new Christmas tree is a result of a joint effort between the Casements Guild of Ormond Beach and the city.
