A beloved children's book is coming to life in Ormond Beach this weekend. The parish hall at St. James Episcopal Church will be transformed into “A Secret Garden” by Cornerstone Theatre Co., a well-known company based in Orlando.

The fundraising event, sponsored by the church and The Children's Academy will feature tastes from local restaurants including Stonewood, Lulu's, Kale Cafe, and 31 Supper Club, and Ormond Brewing Co. will have local beer on tap. There will be live music by Sonny Ferguson, and a silent auction will offer over 100 bargain buys.

The "Secret Garden" will be open from 6 to 10 p.m. Jan. 21 at 38 S. Halifax Drive. Ticket are $50 per person and are available at the church office or at the door. Wine and beer are for sale. Attire is dress casual. For more information, call 246-0075.
