Golden Retriever Sammy Hawthorne was selected as the face of the Ormond Memorial Art Museum's fourth-annual Dogapalooza.

Sammy first entered the contest via a drawing conducted at the 2017 Dogapalooza event. She lives in the neighborhood surrounding the museum with her family and two other dogs.

The upcoming Dogapalooza will help fundraise for the Halifax Humane Society, Great Dawg Rescue and the pet food drive will benefit Sophie's Circle Dog Rescue. The event is presented by Florida Hospital HospiceCare and features activities like dog hair chalking, popsicles (and pup-sicles!) as well as "Pup-arrazi" event photography.

Dogs will also be able to be nominated to be the face of the next Dogapalooza.
