BBQ at the fair, turtles and an egg hunt are the highlights of this week's events

Rock 'n' Ribs sure to draw thousands over the weekend at the Flagler County Fairgrounds.

Rock 'n' Ribs

When: Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8; gates open at 5 p.m.

Where: Flagler County Fairgrounds, 150 Sawgrass Rd., Bunnell

Details: Friday night is Country Night with Giddy Up Go and Saturday Night's lineup is all rock, including Coastal Vibe, Nova Rex, the Long Haul Eagles tribute band, and others. Join in the rest of the fun at the fair: carnival rides, games, livestock barn and 4H and FFA exhibits.

Tickets: Free with fair admission ($5 per person, children under 10 free)

Legendary Women

When: Thursday, April 6, 7 p.m.

Where: City Marketplace, 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Palm Coast

Details: Kathleen Duffy, Palm Coast resident and Margaret Kaler of St. Augustine will fill a 90-minute performance telling stories about the lives of Queen Isabella of Castile, Emma Thompson, Mary Kingsley, Isak Dinese and Gertrude Bell.

Tickets: At the door; $10 per person.

"Coastal Dreaming" dual art reception

When: Friday, April 7, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Where: Ocean Art Gallery, 206 Moody Blvd., Flagler Beach

Details: Husband and wife artists Tom Sadler and Sally Evans are the featured artists for the month of April at the downtown Flagler Beach contemporary art gallery. The couple will be the guests of honor at their art opening reception for “Coastal Dreaming” on the evening of April 7 and will share their respective artistic styles in a presentation on April 14 at 5:30 p.m.

Cost: Admission is free for both events but seating for the event on April 14 is limited, so please call 693-4882 to reserve space.

10th Annual Turtle Fest

When: Saturday, April 8, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Veterans Park, routes A1A and 100, Flagler Beach

Details: Family fun with kids activities, music, environmental exhibits, giant tortoise races, raffles, bake sale and more, including the possible release of a rehabilitated sea turtle. Proceeds go to support the Flagler/Volusia Turtle Patrol, an all-volunteer group helping the sea turtles that nest on our beaches.

Cost: Admission is free.

Annual Easter Celebration/Egg Hunt

When: Saturday, April 8, 10 a.m. to 12 noon

Where: Palm Coast United Methodist Church at the corner of Belle Terre Pkwy and Matanzas Woods Pkwy

Details: Join us on Saturday, April 8th for games, a petting zoo, and an inflatable obstacle course from 10 a.m. to noon, with our egg hunt at 11 a.m.

Atlantic City Boys

When: Thursday, April 13, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Where: Flagler Auditorium, 5500 E. Highway 100

Details: Back by popular demand, the Atlantic City Boys are four dynamic lead singers who have wowed audiences in Las Vegas, Walt Disney World, and of course, Atlantic City! Now they lend their world-class vocals to the rock-n-roll harmonies of the '60s, singing the hits of The Drifters, The Beach Boys, Franki Valli and the Four Seasons. The Atlantic City Boys encourage flash photography and wild screaming.

Tickets: $29.50 for adults; $18.50 for youth
