"When you hear the train go by, I don't know, you feel like you're in another city," said Diane Michael.

That was the vibe felt by all who attended the first Railroad District Rally Jan. 27 at Ormond Brewing Company. The Good Food Truck, Southern State of Mind and VitaT Tacos were all on hand to serve food made from scratch, while participants enjoyed music, games and beer from the brewery.

The idea came from Michael, founder and creative director of The Callan Group, who considers the Ormond Brewing Company the "best kept secret in town." The event was planned in three weeks and had 350 people in attendance. Michael hopes to make The Railroad district into a place that feels just slightly out of the main Ormond scene.

"It's behind the scene, after hours," Michael said. "It has a whole different feel that's outside the city."

The rally will be held the fourth Tuesday of every month. Come see what the vibe is all about at the next Railroad District Rally, held from 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 23.
