Artie G. is punching through Parkinson’s in new facility

Personal trainer Artie Gardella or “Artie G” has moved to Just Train Fitness located at 5 Utility Drive. Gardella offers private training sessions at Just Train – or in the client’s home – and focuses on those with Parkinson’s disease.

“I am passionate about working with people who have Parkinson’s,” Gardella said, “to help them maintain the ability to perform activities of daily living.”

Research from the Parkinson’s Outcomes Project shows that people with Parkinson’s who exercise a minimum of 2.5 hours a week experience a slowed decline in quality of life, and that establishing early exercise habits is an essential part of overall disease management.
