FRIDAY, NOV. 27

58th-annual Gaslight Parade

5 p.m. departing from The Casements, heading east down Granada Boulevard to A1A. Presented by the Volusia Region, Antique Automobile Club of America in conjunction with the City of Ormond Beach. Antique, unmodified cars and trucks (1988 and older) that will be participating in the parade. This year’s feature car is beautifully restored 1950 Oldsmobile Holiday Coupe.  

SATURDAY, NOV. 28

Thanksgiving Gently Used Book Sale

9 a.m. to noon at Regions Bank Parking Lot, 1400 Ocean Shore Blvd. Donations benefit Ormond-By-The-Sea Lions Foundation, Inc. Call 441-4421.

58th-annual Birthplace of Speed Antique Car Show

11 a.m. at Fortunato Park. Unmodified cars and trucks (1988 and older) register on site at the park between 8 and 11 a.m. The cost per show-entered vehicle is $20. The public is admitted free. Award presentations begin at 3 p.m. with the show ending shortly thereafter.

SUNDAY, NOV. 29

Bagel Shop Blood Drive  

8 a.m. to noon at Einstein Bros Bagels, 110 S. Nova Road in Rivergate Plaza. Donors get a free bagel and shmear, t-shirt and wellness checkup including iron count and cholesterol screening. For quick service making an appointment online at oneblooddonor.org and use sponsor code #10636.

TUESDAY, DEC. 1

Holiday Tea Event

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oceanside Country Club. WORC, Inc., is a local organization serving adults with disabilities. The 2015 WORC Collectible Holiday Ornament, and limited ornaments from past years, will be sold to the community. This year’s ornament is a “Beach Bucket of Fun,” in keeping with the constant Florida ornament theme. All proceeds from the sale benefit WORC. Call 274-6474, Ext. 17.

Nicotine Anonymous

7 p.m. at Florida Hospital Oceanside, 246 S. Atlantic Ave. This free support group is open to all individuals who have the desire to quit smoking or wish to stay smoke free. Every Tuesday.

WEDNESDAY, DEC. 2

Ormond Beach Garden Club

9:30 a.m. at The Casements,  25 Riverside Drive. From there, the group will be carpooling for a tour of Washington Oaks Gardens followed by a luncheon at JT's Seafood Shack in Palm Coast. Everyone is welcome to attend. Call 673-2940 or [email protected].

The Malcolm Fraser Collection: Celebration of 70 Years Opening Reception

6 to 8 p.m. at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum. Join us for the first extensive exhibition of the Malcolm Fraser collection in more than 40 years. Curator Dr. Roberta Favis has carefully selected a large representation of Fraser's work, and the exhibition will kick off the Museum's 70th anniversary in 2016.
