ParkSide Realty adds former Secret Service agent to real estate Team

ParkSide Realty Group is pleased to announce they have added Tom Harman to their real estate team.
Harman brings numerous years of government and security experience to Parkside Realty Group. Prior to entering the real estate industry, he worked with the U.S. Secret Service and retired as a police officer in Washington, DC. His previous experience includes security coverage of prominent leaders, including President Clinton and the King of Jordan. Harman says he is looking most forward to serving his clients in Flagler County because he loves living in Central Florida.

Intracoastal Bank announces 2014 results

Intracoastal Bank announced its financial results for the year ended Dec. 31, 2014. Intracoastal Bank increased 18% more than the past year in total assets, 17% more in loans and 17% in deposits. Net income for the full year increased by 7% from the past year of 2013. Intracoastal Bank’s president and CEO Bruce E. Page reported that the Bank Tier 1 capital ratio was 9.1% at December 31, 2014, higher than what is required to be considered well capitalized. The Bank has good credit quality with no material delinquent loans, no foreclosed properties and no charge offs for 2014.

CareerSource Flagler/Volusia announces the return of its entrepreneurial training–Startup Quest

Startup Quest will begin taking applications for participants in the third and final round of entrepreneurial training. Startup Quest is a 10-session, hands-on experiential entrepreneurship training program that increases participants’ abilities to pursue their own ideas for self-employment through a challenging mentor-based methodology that teaches advanced entrepreneurship. The program focuses on the processes and steps required for a hypothetical business startup to transform an innovation into a product for the marketplace.
“Startup Quest strengthens communities by creating new pathways for citizens’ employment, giving highly educated participants the tools and training they need to create new businesses and stimulate job creation,” said Lou Paris, Regional Program Manager for Startup Quest.
The goal of the program is to provide graduates with the skills needed to launch their own companies, or to apply what they’ve learned in the program at new jobs with established businesses. Other participants use the Startup Quest® experience to expand their own existing companies.
An introductory session will take place at 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Mar 6, at The Plaza Historic Beach Resort & Spa.

DeCeglie dominates Palm Coast’s saltwater canal homes in 2014

Richard J. DeCeglie, CRS of Watson Realty Corporation, sold most of the Palm Coast residential saltwater canal listings in 2014. DeCeglie closed a total of 18 of his listings at an average of 86 days. DeCeglie was also recognized for this same achievement in 2009 and 2010.

Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation welcomes new executive director

Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation is pleased to welcome their new Executive Director Carolyn A. Sentelik, MPA. Chamber’s Creekside donates funds to Princess Place

Flagler County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Rebecca DeLorenzo and Chamber Program and Event Manager Tiffany Edwards presented a check to the Flagler County Commission for $4,284.43 from the proceeds of the Creekside Festival on Jan. 12, at Princess Place Preserve. DeLorenzo told members of the County Commission that the festival celebrated its 10th anniversary this past year, and in the past decade the Chamber has donated approximately $35,000 from the festival to the Princess Place Preserve.
