Flagler Schools announce Teacher and Support Staff of the year

Nominated by their peers, these individuals will vie for the county and state titles.

The 2016 Teachers and Support-Related Employees of the Year have been selected from each of the Flagler district schools and departments. The nine teacher candidates, and the 15 support employee candidates, were nominated by their peers. They will now compete for the district Teacher and Support Employee of the Year title. 


Teachers of the Year 

Elementary Schools: Melissa Irving, Belle Terre Elementary; Randi Fasnacht, Bunnell; Kim Week, Old Kings;  Amber Baumert, Rymfire; and Jaime Byrne, Wadsworth.|
Middle Schools: Katherine Acosta, Buddy Taylor; and Lori Decker, Indian Trails.
High Schools: Courtney VandeBunte, Flagler Palm Coast; and Michelle Czarnecki, Matanzas.
Flagler Technical Institute: David Nelson.



Support-Related Employees of the Year

Elementary Schools: George Obloj, Belle Terre; Cynthia DeLance, Bunnell; Susan Hamilton, Old Kings; Trish Burns, Rymfire; and Corrie Archambault, Wadsworth.
Middle Schools: Valena Ridgway, Buddy Taylor; and DeAndre Harris, Indian Trails.
High Schools: Carol Carnelli, Flagler Palm Coast; and Pam Brown, Matanzas.
FPC/Youth Center: Brandon Seminara  
Technology Department: Thomas Adams
Transportation Department: Leonard Wood
