CMT is resurrecting the popular documentary series "Inside Fame," and Brian Kelley will star in its debut.

Florida Georgia Line was selected as the first country group to appear in the show. The one-hour special will air the week of June 6, which is the same week of the 2014 CMT Music Awards.

Mayor Ed Kelley said the film crew came to Ormond the weekend of March 1. They visited the house in which Kelley grew up, his favorite eats, such as Houligan's and Larry's Subs, Seabreeze High School and the Ormond Beach Sports Complex.

Mayor Kelley said he's happy he and his family got the chance to be in the documentary.

"Especially to be the first one," Kelley said. "We were all excited to be a part of it. I'm happy for him."

Kelley said his favorite part about the experience was converting all his home movies from VHS to DVD.

"It's almost like you get to relive their life a little bit," Kelley said. "We spent probably 10 days to two weeks going through that, finding pictures and so forth. It gets you a chance to relive."
