Florida Hospital Flagler gives gas cards to Access Flagler First

Florida Hospital Flagler presented 50 gas cards totally $1,200 to Access Flagler First June 6, according to a Florida Hospital Flagler press release.

“Our employees decided to donate these gas cards to Access Flagler to support families in need in a variety of ways,” said Florida Hospital Flagler Chaplain Robert Nickell said in the press release. “Some families in Flagler County just need a little help from time to time getting from point A to point B in order to work, seek employment, or go to the doctor.”

Led by Flagler County Human Services Program Manager Janet Nickels and Grace Tabernacle Ministries Pastor the Rev. Charles Silano, Access Flagler First is a monthly event that brings nonprofits together with people seeking their services.

The event offers food and clothing, and is free and open to the public 1-4 p.m. on the first Friday of each month at Cattleman's Hall at the Flagler County Recreation Area, 650 County Road 13.

“The hope was for our staff to connect with the community in meaningful ways,” Nickell said in the press release. “Access Flagler meets real needs in Flagler County.”
