Young Professionals Group to host first “putt crawl”
The Young Professionals Group of Flagler County will host its first ever “putt crawl” Saturday, April 12 in Flagler Beach, with participants putt-putting their way through a series of eight participating restaurants.
A putt crawl is “one part networking, one part putt-putt golf and one GIANT part fun,” chamber program and event manager Tiffany Edwards said in a chamber press release.
Participants will meet in Flagler Beach’s Veterans Park at 1 p.m., April 12 to register and tee off their first hole.
They’ll play one hole at each restaurant and, maybe, have a drink before moving on. The event will at Finn’s Beachside Pub with an awards ceremony and after party.
Teams can win prizes, according to the press release, so participants are encourage to make their group stand out (with crazy golf attire, costumes, etc.) as they “crawl their way up A1A”.
The event is $25 for drink tickets, scorecard, commemorative cup, admission to the awards and after party and a few hours of fun. Advance registration is $20
Teams can sign up in person until 3 p.m. April 12.
Proceeds from the putt crawl will support Youth Leadership Flagler, a program offered to 10 high school juniors each year that gives participating students a better understanding of Flagler County for community-improvement purposes.
The first Youth Leadership Flagler class will graduate April 16 with a dinner and ceremony at the Hilton Garden Inn.
