I received two more letters this week with stores of goodwill and gratitude. Check these out:
“I read your article in the Nov. 21 paper, and it so impressed me that, when I was in line the other day while a lady with four children was trying to find one more to dollar to pay her bill, it didn't take me a minute to decide to pull it out of my wallet and help her out.
“Maybe stories such as these should find a permanent place in your paper and more people would be willing to help each other out.”
That was from Wayne. This next one is from Diane:
“After reading your column in the Palm Coast Observer, I wanted to tell you about my experience. I was in line at Starbucks last Sunday and started speaking with a nice lady in front of me — just chit chat.
“After she ordered, she turned to me and said, ‘Please order what you would like, on me.’
“I did the same on my next trip to Starbucks. There truly is a pay-it-forward thing going on. Thank you for covering this story.”
