Kids get colorful in Art Guild workshop

A dozen Ormond Beach kids were led by 10 Ormond Beach Art Guild members for a “Who Am I?” multimedia abstract painting workshop April 6 and 13, at The Casements.

The kids’ work will be on display May 4-5, at Art in the Park, at The Casements. The next Ormond Beach Art Guild exhibit will be on display in December, at The Casements.

Record Store Day: Local to perform at Atlantic Sounds

Ormond Beach summer and weekend resident Brad Palkevich will play with his band, The Attack, around noon Saturday, April 20, at Atlantic Sounds, in Daytona Beach. The show, one of six the band will play throughout Florida that day, will take place on Record Store Day, an annual event nationwide meant to promote local record stores.

The Attack will also release its E.P., “Rise Sing Deliver,” the same day, the blue vinyl for which will be on sale at Atlantic Sounds. Every purchase will also come with a free poster.

Kids theater group seeks veterans for musical

Children’s Musical Theatre Workshop Inc. is seeking United States military veterans in uniform for their upcoming production of “Kilroy Was Here,” at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 N. U.S. 1.

Taking a lighthearted look at World War II, the show will be performed for school children May 16, and for the general public May 17, 18 and 19.
