Liz Graf’s story, “Muffin the Warrior,” is featured in the new “Chicken Soup for the Soul: I Can’t Believe My Cat Did That.”

Graf is a retired high school biology teacher with three grown children. She and her high school sweetheart are now settled in Palm Coast.

In the book, Graf recounts a time when the family cat, Muffin, faced a hawk while hunting a mole. “Muffin was a very special part of our family for a long time,” Graf said. “It’s a fulfillment of a lifelong dream to be published in an international publication like that.”

Graf got the courage to submit her story to the publications from her friend Rita Bosel, who was in the same writing group at Palm Coast Plantation. The two ladies also just found out that they will both be included in another book, “Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Power of the Positive.”

“We are in it together witch is very special for us,” Graf said.
