Another restaurant, likely off Palm Coast Parkway, will be open within the next two years.

Flagler County loves Panera Bread.

The bakery-café, located off State Road 100, officially opened its doors Wednesday, April 11, in record-setting fashion.

Out of approximately 80 Florida-based Paneras, the grand opening of the Palm Coast Panera Bread was the best one yet, according to Eryn Catter, director of public relations and sales.

“We broke all grand opening records (Wednesday),” Catter said.

First-day sales were 15% higher than the previous record, Catter added.

Catter said the anticipation of the restaurant coming to town was a large reason for the success on the first day.

“Since we have a drive-thru and we’re new to the community, we’re able to serve twice as many people,” she said.

Catter also said Thursday that another Panera Bread will be open within “one to two years.” While the location isn’t confirmed, it will likely be off Palm Coast Parkway, Catter added.

“Thank you, to the Palm Coast community, for an amazing grand opening,” said Gavin Ford, the owner of the franchise. “We feel so welcomed in the community.”

The Panera Bread is located at 5880 State Road 100. For a menu of the restaurant, go to www.PaneraBread.com/menu.
