Hoops enthusiasts got plenty of instruction June 16, at the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs co-ed basketball camp, led by FPC Lady Bulldogs coach Javier Bevacqua.

The camp ran Monday through Thursday, and this was the third year Bevacqua has put the camp on for basketball players in grades two through six.

Last year, there were about 80 campers; this year’s camp had 70 campers.

The camp features six stations, which are run by current or former FPC Lady Bulldogs basketball players, and then a tournament for seven-player teams, which are coached by high-school players.

Overall, Bevacqua said the camp was a success.

“The camp was great,” Bevacqua said, adding that 45 of the 70 campers returned from the previous two years. “We keep a vast majority of campers coming back.”
