First Baptist Church of Palm Coast hosted its National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 7.
First Baptist Church of Palm Coast's Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator Brandon Vance described the National Day of Prayer as an opportunity "for anyone in the community who has a heart, or desire to pray for our community, meaning Flagler, Palm Coast, any of the politicians here, just anyone who serves our community."
Since the National Day of Prayer occurred on a work day and many people were unable to attend, First Baptist Church of Palm Coast also hosted a prayer walk on Saturday, May 9.
"We have people go out into the community, and some go through the neighborhoods to pray in front of people's houses," Vance said.
The prayer walk is an event where praying participants can go out into the community to pray for others. There were also several prayer stations outside of the church for those seeking prayer, and opted to not walk.
"If there is anyone in the community who feels lost, feels unconnected, there is a place at our church for you. God does love you, and this might be the time to come home, and find a church home," Vance said.
