Nieve Jaramillo and her daughter Laura were selected as Ormond Memorial Art Museum’s featured family from the museum's June 5 Free Family Art Night event.
The Jaramillo family is from Colombia and have lived in Ormond Beach for six years, according to a statement from the museum.
"I enjoy making art at school and at home," Laura Jaramillo said. :I love drawing, painting, and trying new art projects. Visiting the Ormond Memorial Art Museum helps me learn new ideas and be to be more creative."
OMAM’s Family Art Night takes place from 5:30-7 p.m. on most first Fridays of the month. All art supplies are provided. All ages are welcome. The next event will be held on July 3.
