'Rise of Burlesque' takes stage Aug. 8 at Anderson-Price Building

Bootleggers Entertainment will present a stage show on Saturday, Aug. 8, highlighting the origin and evolution of burlesque in the historic Anderson-Price Memorial Building, 42 N. Beach St., Ormond Beach.

According to a press release, the show, “The Rise of Burlesque: A Cocktail Experience,” follows the dance style from its beginnings in 1830s London all the way to its global reach in the 21st century. An immersive experience, the show features tasteful burlesque both on stage and among the audience.

In addition to live burlesque, the show also utilizes vintage photos and video clips to showcase many of the women who brought burlesque to prominence over the years.

General admission tickets are $48. Three cocktails, paired with a different era in burlesque history are included with each ticket. (alcohol-free alternatives are available). Attendees must be 21 or older. Tickets are available at theriseofburlesque2026.eventbrite.com
