The nonprofit TOPS Club (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) honored its 2025 royalty of weight loss this past spring. Gayle Moss of Flagler Beach and Anthony Grosso of Kissimmee are the 2025 Florida Queen and King.
Moss lost 138.2 pounds, while Grosso lost 57.2 pounds. In a press release, Moss said she has been a TOPS member for nearly 14 years.
“With an individual approach to weight loss and overall wellness, TOPS provides consistent group support, health education and recognition to encourage successful weight management,” TOPS VIce President Dave Amoroso said.

Moss' weight-loss journey began when she lived in Tennessee.
“I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure,” she said. “I realized if I didn’t take control of my unhealthy eating habits, I might not live long enough to see my grandchildren grow up.”
A friend suggested that Moss attend a TOPS meeting. She said she was warmly welcomed by the members and joined the next day. A few years later she relocated to Flagler Beach and transferred to a local TOPS chapter.
“Listening to other members’ stories, learning new habits at meetings and serving as chapter treasurer have kept me motivated on my weight loss journey," she said.
Her biggest inspiration, she said, was her family. She exercised regularly, walking and swimming.
“Consistency is key,” she said. “Reaching my goal weight has increased my confidence. I can shop for regular-size clothes and feel proud of how I look and feel. TOPS has changed my life, and I am deeply grateful.
“My message is simple,” she said. “Never give up on your journey. With determination and perseverance, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.”
