Contestants are invited to capture photos of the Seward Johnson sculptures, installed in January this year in locations up and down Granada Boulevard from Yonge Street to A1A, for the "Art Imitates Life II" photography contest.

According to the announcement, participants can enter their photos in one or more of these categories:

  • Strike a pose: Participants are invited to imitate the statue, including dressing up, though matching costumes are not required.
  • Interact with a statue: Participants can become part of the scene.
  • Black and White: Capture the sculpture in a compelling black-and-white image.

The deadline to enter is May 17. There is a $50 prize for each category, plus winners will receive a professional print of their winning photo to be displayed at the Ormond Beach library.
