Take 5 Oil Change in Daytona Beach is now open.
The shop celebrated the grand opening of its location at 1962 LPGA Blvd. The new shop has three service bays; customers remain in their cars while technicians complete an oil change in about 10 minutes. Every service includes free tire pressure checks, fluid top-offs, and complimentary bottled water.
"Bringing another Take 5 Oil Change to Daytona Beach isn’t just about expansion," said Tim Austin, president of Take 5 Oil Change. "It’s about delivering a fast, friendly experience that helps local drivers keep their vehicles in top condition without the hassle."
To celebrate the grand opening, Take 5 Oil Change is offering customers $25 toward any oil change for a limited time.
Dr. Denver J. Fowler is the dean of the School of Education and professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Alliant University in San Diego, California.
It's a position he holds from his city of residence, Ormond-by-the-Sea, where he relocated his family to a year ago.

"Over the years, regardless of where we lived in the United States, we would always visit our family who live in the Ormond Beach and Palm Coast areas," Fowler said in an email to the Observer. "That is, we have been coming to this area since the early 2000s. We always loved the area and once I had the opportunity to work remotely, we decided to move here. I must say that we love it here and we are excited about the opportunity to finish raising our boys here."
Fowler has served in various positions within higher education at numerous universities across the U.S., including Ohio State University, University of Mississippi, University of West Florida and more. Prior to that, he worked in the PreK-12 education setting, during which he was named State Assistant Principal of the Year in Ohio and nominated for the nationwide recognition.
To date, Fowler has over 70 publications including books, edited books, refereed chapters in books, refereed journal articles, and non-refereed articles in practitioner magazines.
"I have been all over the world, so I feel like I offer a good perspective when I say this, but Ormond Beach is special," Fowler said. "In my opinion, it is one of the last hidden gems in the state of Florida, and possibly in the United States."
