Mainland brought the homecoming spirit with a rousing 57-0 win against the Belleview Rattlers on Friday, Oct. 25.
During halftime, the homecoming court was introduced, followed by the announcement of the senior royalty winners— queen Kiera Williams and king Jermaine McBridge. They will reign the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year and preside over special school events, including the homecoming dance, themed “Night in the Bayou”.
Williams is also Miss Mainland 2025. She is a three-sport athlete, participating in soccer, track and flag football. She is involved in the Mainland Collegiate Institute, Student Government Association, National Honor Society club, Athletic Training and the Interact club. She will be attending North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
McBridge is the president of the Mainland’s Florida Public Service Association and hopes to study nursing at Bethune-Cookman University or Florida A&M University.
