Palm Coast invites residents to help "Keep Palm Coast Clean" in a litter pick-up event on April 28.

Volunteers will meet the Public Works Department at 1 Wellfield Grade to gather supplies and go over location assignments. Those who attend will pick up litter from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. along earmarked roadways, including Palm Coast Parkway, Belle Terre Parkway and Belle Terre Boulevard, a Palm Coast Press release said.

From 12 to 1 p.m. there will be a closing ceremony and awards for participants, including the "Litter Warrior Award" for the person who collects the most trash, the press release said. Every volunteer will receive a certificate of completion and be acknowledged as a "Litter-Free Ambassador."

Transportation to the cleanup areas will not be provided, but the city will provide litter-ready gloves, eco-friendly trash bags, refreshments, and necessary safety measures for a successful cleanup day, the press release said.

Individuals or groups interested in volunteering can reach out via email to [email protected]. For additional information, please contact the city of Palm Coast Public Works Department at 386-986-2360.
