The Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center is reopening on Saturday, Feb.17, and the Florida Women's Arts Association is presenting the first art exhibit in the building's new gallery.

As part of the PAC's $1.7 million renovation, a new art gallery space with lighting, a hanging system and new windows was constructed. According to a press release by FLWAA, the exhibition titled "Epic Expressions" allowed selected local artists to express their visions in a large format, including fine art, abstraction and photography.

"There was so much epic work that was done to make this renovation happen, that I wanted to give the visitors an epic experience," said artist LC Tobey, FLWAA Epic Expressions chair.

In addition to the gallery, the renovation included new seats in the auditorium, new carpeting, an updated box office, a covered walkway and a modernized lobby.

The box office and Friends of the Ormond Beach Fine Arts Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 12-5 p.m.

Epic Expressions will be on display through April 27.
