Meet OMAM's featured art night family for February

The Dollaways have been attending the Family Art Night event for a couple of years

Angela and Kia Dollaway were selected as Ormond Memorial Art Museum’s featured family from the museum’s Feb. 2 Free Family Art Night event.

The Dollaways have been attending the Family Art Night event for a couple of years, according to a statement to the Observer. On Feb. 2, they made Valentine suncatcher mobiles.

"We love the Ormond Memorial gardens, especially the waterfall and turtle ponds," Angela Dollaway said. "We enjoy seeing the artwork in the museum galleries when we come for Family Art Night. We learn new techniques and make cool projects. Kian also enjoys cooking and building with his Lego’s in his spare time.”

The museum’s Family Art Night takes place from 5:30-7 p.m. on most first Fridays of the month. All art supplies are provided, and the program is sponsored in part by the Women United Volusia Chapter.

The next program is scheduled for March 1.
