Daytona Beach International Airport announced the addition of a new carrier — Breeze Airways, which offers direct service to the northeast U.S. — on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
Starting Nov. 14, Breeze Airways will fly nonstop to Westchester County, New York, on Thursdays and Sundays. Three other routes will be added: Hartford, Connecticut (Thursdays and Sundays, starting Feb. 13, 2025); Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina (Thursdays and Sundays, starting Feb. 13, 2025); and Providence, Rhode Island (Mondays and Fridays, starting Feb.14, 2025).
"I just checked the long-term forecast for this winter, and I'm happy to tell you that Daytona Beach is in for a seriously nice Breeze," said Brian McCormick, director of airport properties for Breeze Airways.
The airline's four routes are estimated to have an economic impact of more than $21 million a year in the Daytona Beach region.
Breeze Airways was ranked in the top 5 of Travel + Leisure's "Best Domestic Airlines" for the third year in a row, offering premium seating options and high-speed WiFi on its fleet of brand new 137 seat Airbus A220-300 aircraft.
“Our air service development team has been talking with the route planners at Breeze for more than two years, continually building relationships and now we can celebrate a huge air service win for our community and welcome even more visitors to our beautiful destination," DAB Director Karen Feaster said.
Breeze Airways, a premium low-cost carrier established in 2021, promoted a system-wide 35% discount off all roundtrip base fares purchased by Aug. 9, including new routes. Travelers should use the promo code "TAKEOFF" at checkout on flybreeze.com or on the Breeze app.
