The city of Palm Coast is about to get merry and bright as the city kicks off its third annual "Holiday Light Fight" home decorating contest.

Break out all of your lights, garland, inflatable snowmen, and more for the Holiday Light Fight ... and don't be fragile with the festiveness! Everyone in Palm Coast is invited to decorate their houses in fun and unique ways for the holiday season.

Palm Coast residents wishing to participate need only to decorate their homes (the more fun and unique, the better) and submit a photo online by clicking here. Registration is open from now through Dec. 14.

Once registered, the city’s Information and Technology Department is working to create an online map that shows residents where they can go to see all of the submitted light displays.

You must register before Wednesday, Dec. 14. This year, you pick the winners through fan voting! Voting will take place through this Facebook event. Vote for your favorite in each category by liking the photo. Voting will take place Wednesday, Dec. 14 through Friday, Dec. 16. Winners will be selected in the following categories:

  • Brightest House
  • Best Theme
  • Most Interesting
  • Best Community Display
  • Best in Show

Winners will receive lawn signs that mark their houses as major award winners on Saturday, Dec. 17 – so don’t wait, get festive and join the fight!
