Ormond man killed in motorcycle crash

Periat Florentin, of Ormond Beach, was pronounced dead after he was found in the 300 block of Airport Road.

A 42-year-old Ormond Beach man was killed in a motorcycle crash around 12:50 a.m. on Monday, March 15, Ormond Beach Police report.

Periat Florentin was found off the road in the 300 block of Airport Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. OBPD said its traffic unit is investigating the crash, but that it appears the motorcycle went off the road on its own, with no other vehicles involved.

This fatality comes three days after a 21-year-old woman died in a crash involving two motorcycles in the southbound lanes of North Yonge Street and Hernandez Avenue around12:04 a.m. on Friday, March 12. Paige Donedgan, of Jackson, New Jersey, was ejected from one of the motorcycles in the crash  and taken to Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, where she later died from her injuries, according to OBPD. 

The drivers of both motorcycles were conscious at the time law enforcement officers arrived and were later transported to medical facilities for treatment.
