Fatal motorcycle crash in Ormond Beach at Hull Road and US 1

Motorcycle rider Timothy Hardie, of Palm Coast, died at the scene, having been hit by a vehicle.

On Wednesday, Jan. 20, at approximately 5:12 p.m., officers from the Ormond Beach Police Department responded to a crash at North US Highway 1 and Hull Road. The crash involved a southbound motorcycle with a single male rider and a black passenger vehicle that was turning onto Hull Road. The driver of the motorcycle, Timothy Daniel Hardie, of Palm Coast, was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the passenger vehicle were not injured.

The southbound lanes of North U.S. 1 were shut down from the time of the crash until approximately 8:30pm.

Mr. Hardie’s next of kin has been notified. The investigation is on-going.
