Doin' donuts

8:27 p.m. First block of Bay Drive

Reckless driving. Several witnesses called the Sheriff's Office and said cars were zooming around recklessly in a park parking lot. Deputies arrived and found three teens standing outside of three cars.

They said they were there to take photographs. The tire tracks indicated otherwise, and one later admitted that they'd been doing donuts. All three were trespassed from the park.

'Own' goals

9:00 p.m. 1800 block of Guava Lane

Loitering and prowling. A resident saw an unfamiliar man walking on his property. The resident asked the man what he was doing there and what his name was. The man gave his name and said he was lost. He then walked across the street and onto a neighbor's property.

The resident contacted the Sheriff's Office, and a deputy went to the neighbor's house and knocked at the locked gate. The man came out, and the deputy asked him why he'd been on the resident's property.

The man said he'd been lost and thought it was his, and that the land he was on when the deputy found him actually was his own because the owner had "gifted" it to him. A deputy contacted the actual owner, who had no idea who the trespasser was. The deputy arrested him.

Bad trip

9:19 p.m. U.S. 1, Bunnell

Narcotics. A woman called 911 and said she was on U.S. 1 in a car with her boyfriend and that someone was following and trying to shoot them, and that the couple was running red lights to flee.

A deputy found the car traveling at a "high rate of speed" with its flashers on, and stopped it.

No other vehicles were following.

When a deputy approached the window, the woman said she had marijuana in her bag. The boyfriend, who was driving, said his license was suspended and that the marijuana in the car was his.

A deputy noticed that the boyfriend was wearing a bullet-resistant vest and that there were other drugs and drug paraphernalia in the car, including MDMA.

The deputy arrested the boyfriend.
